Job Title: Part-Time Temporary Network Installation Technician
Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: 20-40 hours per week, starting at 6:00 AM
Compensation: $20 per hour
Duration: May – September
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Temporary Network Installation Technician to assist with the installation of Cisco Meraki Access Points and AXIS Cameras across our locations in Mesa, AZ. The ideal candidate will have experience with low-voltage cabling, mounting hardware, and basic networking concepts. This is a hands-on role requiring physical activity, including lifting, ladder work, and cable management.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in installing and mounting Cisco Meraki Access Points and AXIS Cameras
• Run and manage Ethernet cabling (CAT6) for network connectivity
• Secure and organize cabling to ensure a clean and professional installation
• Work alongside senior technicians and follow detailed installation plans
• Test and troubleshoot access points and cameras post-installation
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Document installation progress and report any issues
Qualifications:
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, PoE, Wi-Fi)
• Experience with network hardware installation (preferred)
• Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and AXIS Camera systems (a plus)
• Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable using basic tools (drills, cable testers, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts
