HonorHealth is looking for an Audiologist to work per diem at the Thompson Peak ENT office. This is a small but fast-paced clinic that sees 200 - 250 patients weekly. The team consists of a Physician Provider, NP, PA, the Audiologist role and front office staff. Services are provided to infants and holder to include annual screens, diagnostic follow up, services for hearing loss, VNG testing, balance issues, vertigo and sales fittings, and minor repairs for hearing aids. The idealcandidatee must meet the minimum requirements of a Master's degree in Audiology from an accredited University and a current Arizonalicensee of Audiology issued by ArizonaDepartmentt Health Services. Responsibilities Job Summary The Audiologist administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Completes comprehensive individualized evaluation and determines if further intervention is necessary. Collaborates with patient and family/caregiver when making recommendations. Establishes a plan of care with obtainable, functional goals when appropriate and recommends additions to or modifications of referring orders. Assists management staff in Balance Center program development, operations, promotion and departmental improvement plans as requested. Implements an individualized evaluation through the use of skilled assessments. Involves the patient and family/caregiver in the decision making process. Provides ongoing education to physician, patient, family/caregiver and interdisciplinary team. Documents according to standards set by the department and regulatory agencies, including a legible comprehensive assessment and all other required documentation. Communicates evaluation/test results to physicians, nurses, family/caregiver and interdisciplinary team in a professional and tactful manner. Accepts responsibility to contact physicians for routine or difficult problem solving to ensure optimal patient outcome. Provides rationale for recommendations based on standard practices and/or current evidence based literature. Embodies and demonstrates strong customer service skills. Demonstrates appropriate supervision and delegation of students and support staff. Participates in training and orientation of new personnel. Assures competency of personnel prior to delegation of a task. Assists in the identification of department needs and participates in departmental and interdepartmental in-services. Exhibits adaptability in assignments as it relates to caseload, scheduling, staffing shifts. Takes initiative to assist in other parallel care areas and accepts responsibility for all patient care needs. Maintains a current knowledge of Audiology techniques, as well as JCAHO and Medicare requirements, through continuing education courses, self-study, professional journals, and professional organizations. Qualifications Education Master's Degree in Audiology from an accredited university. Required Licenses and Certifications Physician\AUDIO - Audiologist - Dispensing Current AZ License of Audiology issued by AZ Dept of Health Services Required
