The City of Chandler Communications and Public Affairs Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a
Digital Media Specialist. This position is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited and serves at the discretion of the department director. This position is scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week. Please include a sample social media campaign with your application.

Who we are
The City of Chandler Communications and Public Affairs Department develops and maintains community and media relations as well as communication programs to present municipal information to the public. This includes publications, press releases, websites, social media, videos and government cable television programming. The department also coordinates citizens' requests for service, public meetings on topical issues, and other citywide public affairs projects. In addition, it provides support to the Mayor, City Council, and City Departments.
Who we are looking for
The primary function of this position is to provide assistance to Communications and Public Affairs (CAPA) in the production of digital content. The ideal candidates for this position would be an upper-level students or recent graduates who have studied communications, marketing, journalism and/or public relations. This position provides a great opportunity to gain practical work experience in public affairs, communications, social media, graphic design, multimedia and community outreach.
Minimum Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED
* 6 months experience with digital media production, digital media photography or social media content development
* Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
* Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
