Job Description

This position performs administrative work to assist with the varied administrative and clerical duties of the office, as well as necessary tasks associated with the daily operation of the Educational Leadership department within the College of Education (COE). This position is an important component of the cohesive team of students, faculty, and staff serving the educational and research mission of the College.

Administrative - 50%

• Assists in the development of program content for handbooks and website.
• Maintains the operation of the program.
• Inputs scheduling of courses in CourseDog.
• Serves as main point of contact for graduate students with program inquiries.
• Processes forms/documents related to program including principal/superintendent internships.
• Maintains positive and timely communication with students and faculty.
• Manages faculty hiring processes from start to finish.

Admissions - 25%

• Independently manages and processes graduate admission applications and graduation applications.
• Liaises with all doctoral students in program.
• Tracks all milestones for doc students and enrolls doc students in classes each semester.
• Processes various university procedures and forms.

Reporting - 10%

• Research, summarize, and analyze program data.
• Use statistics and relevant information from a variety of sources to compile data to prepare special and recurring reports following the department chair's general directions.
• Completes institutional recommendations for principal/superintendent certification.

Scheduling & Events - 10%

• Responsible for event coordination include managing logistics, scheduling, and participant communications for workshops, meetings, and department events.
• Participate in, plan, and prepare for departmental meetings, including documenting student orientation.

Other - 5%

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience required.
• A combination of related education, experience and training may be used as an equivalent to the above minimum requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of administrative experience within a higher educational setting.
• Experience with NAU reporting software systems and processes (i.e., Louie, CourseDog, Enterprise Reporting).
• Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, PowerPoint.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders (students, staff, faculty) in a higher education setting.
• Experience working with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge

• Knowledge of rules, regulations, guidelines related to EDL programs.
• Knowledge of budgeting and account reconciliation principles.
• Knowledge of organizational practices and principles.

Skills

• Coordination of activities and establishing priorities.
• Evaluating data; preparing reports.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation, and basic math.

This position has been identified as a safety/security sensitive position. Salary

Salary range begins at $44,422. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.

FLSA Status

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and therefore will not earn overtime or compensatory time for additional time worked.

This is a Classified Staff (CLS) position.
