**Job Description**

+ The Firmware Development Engineering Manager will assume all management tasks associated with the architecture, security, design, implementation, validation, debug and production release of a complex software and firmware package for Intel Radio SoCs.

+ Features and functions include SoC configuration, run-time system control,real-time processing digitalof RF signals/samples, digital signal processing algorithms, hardware accelerator control, calibrations, high speed data interfaces, boot/security flows, platform software, etc.

+ Standard job functions include managing a team of firmware professionals including firmware development engineers, architects, and/or other managers responsible for software development across the lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, developing, debugging, validating, optimization, customer engagement, and product support. Providing architectural and technical guidance, ensuring that sound engineering practices are followed.

+ Enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

+ Driving results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

**Qualifications**

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

**Education Requirement**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 9+ years of industry experience **OR**

+ Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of industry experience

**Minimum qualifications:**

+ 5+ years' experience in Embedded Firmware/Software Architecture, Design, Implementation and Test for complex SoCs (Systems on a Chip) with various microcontrollers including DSPs and/or Vector Engines.

+ 5+ years' experience programming skills and methods; C, C++, python

+ 3+ years' experience track record of delivering and managing high quality, complex programs and teams.

**Preferred qualifications:**

Knowledge and experience with:

+ Successful completion of SoC project through PRQ process and customer acceptance.

+ Digital communications systems including analog and converter calibrations, multi-antenna systems.

+ RF, Mixed Signal

+ Controllers such as ARM and Tensilica

+ Pre-Silicon development environments such as simulators, RTL simulations, emulators and/or FPGA prototyping.

+ Test automation tools

+ Program management and task management tools

+ Continuous Integration and Release tools

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $196,830.00-$277,880.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

**Working Model**

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. *** Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.**
