Job Description
This position would be a Communications Analyst, Senior Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Communications. This position will support the core communications of Strategic Enrollment and Marketing as it pertains to student recruitment and engagement. Consulting with stakeholders at NAU of project needs and reporting on analytics for project assessment. This role is responsible assisting with the analysis of communications strategies to ensure information is being shared quickly and effectively. Supports the development and maintenance of institutional communications plans. Produces reports with analysis for department management to help make informed communications decisions.
Communication System Processing - 50%
• Gather all needed pieces and information to prepare a communication campaign. Including gathering data from several databases to deploy communication campaigns- Marketing Clouse and Salesforce
• Develop a detailed understanding of population attributes, status, and identification in multiple systems (PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Business Objects).
• Use Marketing Cloud to develop, implement, and manage emails, SMS, and other marketing campaigns for deployment.
• Responsible campaign development and automation that entails building and executing email, SMS, and other digital marketing campaigns, and automated journeys.
• Consistently works to perform to import data, export as needed, including ensuring data integrity.
Client Relations - 30%
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assist in executing communication needs.
• Foster strong, trusting relationships with clients through regular communication, proactive outreach and personalized attention.
• Work with clients to ensure workflow processes are met while promoting best practices for project execution.
• Coordinate project meetings, such as project kick-off and status review meetings.
• Manage specific projects as needed by the department to ensure deadlines and specs are met.
Data & Assessment - 15%
• Track and assess journey email performance for clients.
• Provide guidance on best practices as it pertains to industry trends.
• Analyze communication campaigns to assess effectiveness and impact - provide recommendations as needed.
• Provide detailed reporting for journey and ad hoc sennds.
• Responsible for reporting out to leadership on data and client results.
Other- 5%
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
• A combination of related education, experience and training may be used as an equivalent to the above educational Minimum Requirements.

• Advanced knowledge of routine communications tools, processes, policies, and concepts, including internal and external communications and relevant social media applications.
• Knowledge of communications best practices in higher education.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in customer relationship management systems.
• Skill in preparing reports and summaries.
• Skill in evaluating and handling data.

Salary
Salary range begins at $53,560. Annual salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.
FLSA Status
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and therefore will not earn overtime or compensatory time for additional time worked.

This is a Classified Staff (CLS) position.
