**Where You Will Work **
In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. Located in southeastern Arizona, close to more than 4 million acres of national forest, employees and their families can connect with the great outdoors while fishing, rafting, hiking and more. Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology.
**What You Will Do**
+ Assign, supervise, and review the work of staff for assigned work unit.
+ Implement production plans according to approved schedule.
+ May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.
+ Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
+ Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
+ Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.
+ Maintain an inventory of parts and materials. Approves purchases of materials and equipment; maintain time, materials and equipment use reports. Requisitions tools, supplies, materials and equipment.
+ Train staff in safety procedures. Maintains safety data sheets for crews.
+ Perform other duties as required.
**What You Bring To Freeport**
+ High School diploma or GED ** and ** five years of related operational experience, **including** supervisory or lead experience, ** OR**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in mining or industrial environment, **including** supervisory or lead experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 4 Year accredited apprenticeship or certificate in instrumentation, process control or electrical discipline.
+ 5 years' experience in industrial or fixed plant maintenance and construction.
+ Previous experience safely supervising crews or experience as a relief or fill-in supervisor.
+ Proficient in use of basic computer programs such as Microsoft applications
+ Experience with Computerize Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP.
+ Experience working with PLC or DCS systems.
+ Experience with Medium and High voltage power systems
+ Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnostics using various test equipment and system documentation.
+ Experience specifying and implementing various instrumentation and equipment for various applications.
+ Knowledgeable of multiple communication platforms and protocols such as Hart, Devicente, Modbus, TCP, Ethernet-IP, Profibus, Profinet.
+ Knowledgeable of installation of installation, configuration, calibration and maintenance of process instruments for measurement and control of level, flow, density, weight, pressure, temperature, pH, metal detection and gas detection among others.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Effective coach and mentor.
**What We Offer You **
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$87,000-$121,000.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
