Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of our three data centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all infrastructure, including HVAC management, energy management, and overall facilities operations, to maintain 24x7 functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Management: Oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems to ensure optimal cooling and climate control within the data centers.

Energy Management: Monitor and manage energy consumption to ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with sustainability goals.

Facilities Operations: Ensure the continuous operation of all data center infrastructure, including power systems, cooling systems, and other critical facilities.

Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.

Emergency Response: Lead the response to any facility-related emergencies, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on operations.

Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and effective maintenance and repairs.

Compliance: Ensure all facilities operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports on facility operations, maintenance activities, and energy usage.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in data center facilities management or a related field.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management, and data center infrastructure.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications in facilities management or HVAC systems are a plus.

The job is onsite and will support 3 data centers on campus.

The three data centers support the HPC environment, the network infrastructure, and all non-AWS servers that remain on-prem. All located on campus.

The current Data Center Facilities Manager is retiring by mid April. They also need to replace two building generators this year. If they do not execute on these projects correctly, they would face data center outages in case of an emergency which would shut down their operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
