Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We have an immediate need for a Lead Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is open due to the departure of a long-term employee for personal reasons. As a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for multi-state payroll processing for 400-450 employees in the United States.

Responsibilities

+ Process payroll and maintain up-to-date employee time records and files.

+ Enter, maintain, and process information in the payroll system, including hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, time worked, paid leave, holidays, deductions, withholdings, address changes, and other information.

+ Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.

+ Review changes for proper authorization and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

+ Reconcile monthly benefit invoices to deductions.

+ Issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.

+ Address payroll inquiries while collaborating closely with HR and finance teams.

+ Reconcile federal and state payroll tax deposits.

+ Create and process reports for payroll audits and analysis.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ 4+ years of payroll processing experience.

+ Experience in setting up tax withholdings in different states.

+ Experience in company acquisitions/mergers and transferring employees' information.

+ Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian, Paychex, or similar TAA software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Certified Payroll Specialist certification.

+ Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, with the potential to be fully remote. Candidates must be open to working at least one day in the office, located at 4202 West Highland Avenue. You will be part of the Human Resources team and report to the Director of HR, with weekly Teams meetings for collaboration. The position operates Monday to Friday on a day shift, with flexible start times. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
