**Job Scope**
Oversees daily operations in the Major Sub-Systems Cell. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of the manufacturing cell. Works closely with production managers and operations support groups (scheduling, manufacturing engineering, quality, mechanical tech leads) to ensure proper actions and plans are in place to efficiently produce assemblies, with quality and on time to customer needs. Acts as the primary customer/PM contact for all manufacturing activities. Establishes high level manufacturing milestones and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identifies risks and is able to coordinate activities with different functional teams to obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources, technical requirements, quality issues, etc. Develops mechanisms for monitoring WIP and for intervention and problem solving with line managers, support groups and Programs.
Core Responsibilities include the following:
+ Propose, plan/baseline, and execute operations plans, per Scheduling and Customer needs.
+ Work closely with scheduling and production functional manager to plan capacity for the cell.
+ Identify problems that put operations plans at risk and coordinate solutions with different teams.
+ Champion and lead Continuous Improvement activities to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
+ Coordinate responses with functional organizations to keep operations and projects on schedule.

We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, which typically requires US Citizenship
+ Experience in Manufacturing Operations project management.
+ Experience in collaborating with employees within a department and across functions.
+ Fluent with MS Office products - PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Word
+ Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
+ Competency with managing production in a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment
+ Experience leading Lean Events -Kaizen, VSM, etc.
+ Experience with Electronic Manufacturing Work Instructions
+ Six Sigma Lean Certification

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
