Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a **Systems Software Analyst** to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at **Fort Leavenworth, Kansas** .

**Job Description:**

Analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems. Develops requirements, workflow and systems analysis. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities. Establishes standards for development and maintenance of new and existing products.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Perform frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

+ Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks

+ Provide analysis and solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned

+ Review and analyze work for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision

+ Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or inadequate work product should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delay in program schedules and allocation of additional resources

+ Provide over – the – shoulder training to military operators

+ Perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functions

+ Must be knowledgeable of and is capable of using or learning to use operating systems and database management systems specific to the Army’s mission command suites. Examples are CPCE, AMDWS, etc.

+ Be available for temporary assignment to various CONUS/OCONUS sites for extended periods of time

+ Generate customer related reports from multiple sources, for example Daily Activity Reports, Trip Request, Trip Reports

+ Poses excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ High School Diploma or GED certificate with 6 Years of relevant experience

+ Minimum 3 years operational experience using Army Mission Command Systems

+ Possess active Secret Clearance

+ Willing to travel up to 40% per calendar year

+ Comfortable interacting with all military ranks

+ Capable of performing analysis of system operations

+ Knowledgeable and experienced in operations of hardware systems and components

+ Experience in fault detection, analysis, isolation, correction of hardware systems and individual components

+ Capable of routine system analysis and maintenance on both software and hardware, along with associated components

+ Possesses or can acquire a SEC+ certificate within 6 months of start date

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
