The position pays $17 an hour.

About the Internship: U-Haul is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Software Development Intern for the summer of 2025. This internship provides hands-on experience in the full software development life cycle across four development teams. Interns will be actively involved in designing, developing, testing, and releasing both front-end web applications and APIs that support U-Haul’s business operations.

Key Responsibilities: • Participate in the full software development life cycle, from concept to deployment. • Design, develop, and enhance front-end web applications and APIs. • Collaborate to implement best coding practices and methodologies. • Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and performance. • Work closely with cross-functional SCRUM teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly. • Contribute to documentation and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field) OR recent graduate (2025). • Passionate about software development and eager to learn. • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming principles and at least one object-oriented programming language. • Understanding of the relationship between web applications, APIs, and databases. • Familiarity with manual and automated testing processes. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. • Minimum overall GPA of 3.2.
