Work with us on behalf of better health at Sonora Quest Laboratories! In this communications role, you'll provide both internal and external communications by representing Sonora Quest Laboratories at events around the valley, communicating with our customers and clients, and ensuring employees are informed and inspired to do what they do best, providing excellent patient diagnostic care.
**POSITION SUMMARY**
This position provides communications support to the Growth team and the broader organization. The Communications Specialist may support the Communications & Marketing team and leaders with external communications (social media, Client grams, Industry and Leadership Awards submissions, public relations/media content, etc.) internal communications (company initiatives, announcements, events and employee engagement tactics and initiatives, Outreach communications, laboratory and building updates, new testing, etc.). This position may assist in working with key stakeholders to develop and maintain organizational materials, collateral, media content, and various laboratory and regulatory updates, etc., for both employees and health care provider clients.
_Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards._
**CORE FUNCTIONS**
1. Assists with creating written and visual content across a variety of internal and external communication platforms, including intranet/internet, social media, internal TV monitors, and public relations to educate and engage employees and community on company brand, services, and new testing.
2. Collaborates with the communications team and leaders on Public Relations/external communications support, including partnering with external public relations agencies and partners to create press releases, assists with pitches, media briefs, bookings, talking points and scripts. Coordinates media training with leadership and partners and supports execution of media opportunities.
3. Collaborates with Senior Communications Specialist on operational committees to align and lead companywide initiatives, promotions, community outreach and event planning activities to maximize resources. This includes submission for external awards, presentation development, and public speaking for the enterprise.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communication fields
+ Two (2) years of experience in communications, marketing, or equivalent.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Experience in the clinical laboratory, diagnostic, or health care industry.
+ Experience with Adobe graphic design software.
+ Experience with Sprout Social and Canva design platforms.
+ Additional related education and/or experience.
