We are seeking an IT Admin as student trainee to support the daily IT operations of Laser Components Detector Group. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a growing organization where your expert opinions and ideas will be valued and be at the core of the company’s growth.

As our IT Admin, you will play an integral role in strengthening our digital processes. You will be supporting a wide range of IT and process tasks and will also have the opportunity to improve and design various company processes from end-to-end. You are the link between the local management and the CIO of the Laser Components group and working with an global IT admin team.

Primary Responsibilities
IT
• Implement the local IT strategy in close cooperation with the group CIO, the local management and the global IT Admin team.
• Support and implement local IT projects.
• Execute and improve all local IT services and IT systems (e.g. SAGE 50 ERP system).
• Administrate the local IT infrastructure (e.g. network and firewall).
• Document the local IT architecture
• Gather and contribute all required information to improve IT license costs.
• Communicate with external professional service providers (e.g. JLINK) and facilitate the required IT services.
• Improve the local KPI reporting in close cooperation with the the local management.
• Support IT purchasing activities.
• Assist in the development and management of IT guidelines and policies (operational policies, security policies, internal polices, IT guidelines etc.).
• Provide local IT trainings and increase the local IT skills.

Process
• As an IT Admin you will analyze processes and support digital transformation.
• Help defining and developing business and support processes that enhance accuracy and streamline workflow.
• Document the local processes in close cooperation with the local management (update the process house).
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with our internal team.
• Assist the local management team and the group CIO with administrative and operational duties that contribute to the overall success of the firm.

Skills & Qualifications
• Student of IT.
• Good IT knowledge and prior use of SAGE 50 ERP is a strong asset.
• You are highly proficient, in MS 365 platform particularly Azure and SharePoint.
• Good reporting knowledge and prior use of MS Power BI is an additional asset.
• Database design or development skills in SQL are helpful.
• You are an effective communicator and enjoy building and maintaining relationships companywide.
• You are a quick learner when it comes to systems, processes and programs and love finding ways to make them more efficient.
• You are extremely organized and capable of multitasking.
• You are trustworthy and have discretion and judgment when it comes to sensitive or confidential matters.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in English are essential.
