Key Responsibilities

* The Candidate must be experienced with both shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), and tungsten inert gas welding (TIG).
* Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on civil construction projects.
* 3+ years experience in welding preferred
* Must have appropriate pipe certifications
* Familiarity with shop fabrication techniques and strategies required
* Experience using a cutting torch
* Must pass a 6G position welding test for carbon steel pipe
* Must have knowledge of Process Piping Systems/Isometric Drawings'
* Must be comfortable working in heights of up to 30ft+ as well as out in the field.

Qualifications

* General knowledge of construction principles/processes required.
* Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships in a team setting.
* Stick / MIG Certified
* Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects.
* Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
* Knowledge of aspects of surface preparation, electrode storage, welding machine set up, etc.
* Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects
* Must be self-motivated
* Proven commitment to safety
* Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
* Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
* Ability to work in fast paced work environment with multi trade work activities at the same time
* Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test and be subject to random test throughout the Project
