**Responsibilities**

+ Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to trauma and general surgery patients under the supervision and responsibility of a Physician.

+ Participates in education development and growth of St. Josephs Trauma and General Surgery Service.

+ Supervises other physician assistants.

+ Works closely with the administrative and clinical directors for the Trauma Service Program to ensure quality and regulatory compliance in provision of clinical services.

+ Works with the rotating trauma resident programs to ensure proper orientation and transition into the trauma team.

+ Assists in overseeing the trauma residents in their trauma rotation.

**Qualifications**

3-5 years of Orthopedic PA or NP experience

Demonstrated leadership abilities

General and trauma surgery experience

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

OR 1st Assist Experience Therapeutic Procedures - (central lines chest tubes suturing I&D's interpretation of radiographic imaging)

$62.51 - $90.64 /hour
