Amazon’s Global Supplier Management team (GSM) is responsible for the strategy, development and execution of the global supplier management activity within Worldwide Operations. The GSM team directly supports the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), overseeing a spend of $40B. As our Global Supplier Management team continues to grow, we are seeking a Finance to partner with internal business owners and key stakeholders to drive procurement and operational value for Amazon. This role will work with Amazon stakeholder and suppliers on Financial risk reviews and mitigation steps. The nature of this scope requires them to work across organizations and influence internal and external stakeholders. Internally, the person in this role works with stakeholders to drive strategy, enable execution, and identify and mitigate risks. Externally, this role serves as support for suppliers on financial risk reviews and risk mitigation. This role is expected to operate both at the tactical and strategic level.

Key job responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive financial risk assessments for suppliers in the Global Procurement Organization using third-party tools, and collaborate with category managers to identify and mitigate risks.

- Provide detailed financial analysis and deliver actionable insights to inform business decisions, ensuring alignment with systems, financial controls, and operational impact.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial risk management.

- Facilitate financial review meetings with cross-functional teams and partner with business managers to ensure consistent financial risk management practices

- Facilitate the supplier financial data analysis for business reviews, track actionable items, and ensure timely follow-up with business leaders

- Work with suppliers on the risk mitigation strategy for high financial risk supplier

- Launch and manage financial risk assessment initiatives across supplier sourcing and on boarding phases, driving strategic improvements in risk management

- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for suppliers with high financial risk, fostering collaboration to address and resolve potential issues

About the team

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to partner with 3rd Party Service provider to create continuous improvement partnership approach

- Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority

- Project management and organizational skills, experience working on complex initiatives with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

- Communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
