Children's Clinics is seeking a Per-Diem, Radiology Technologist.

As a member of the Clinical Services team, the Radiology Technologist will join a strong transdisciplinary team serving a diverse patient population consisting primarily of children with complex medical needs including Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Neurogenic/Neurologic disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Down Syndrome.

The Radiology Technologist will process general diagnostic imaging using radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment. Checks supplies and assures proper and safe functioning of equipment and accessories. Knowledge of CPT codes. The desired candidate will possess excellent communication, organization, ability to multi-task, provide excellent customer service and thrive in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Produces X-ray studies to assist in the diagnosis of abnormal physical conditions.

+ Positions patients, performs, and processes general diagnostic imaging procedures.

+ Prepares and maintains records and files as directed.

+ Cleans and adjusts equipment.

+ Operates PACs system, and acts as a resource to physicians and other clinical staff to find needed studies.

+ Performs other duties as required and assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

+ Skill in intervention and collaboration

+ Skill in problem solving, critical thinking, and detailed organization

+ Ability to operate radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment with efficiency and necessary safety precautions including the Panceph machine to acquire Panoramic and Cephalometric images

+ Ability to practice radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills and knowledge of applicable exposure factors to minimize radiation to patient and staff.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with patients, their families, clinic staff and community members.

+ Ability to operate personal computer and related office equipment as needed to perform job function.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

+ Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required

Experience:

+ Two or more years’ experience required

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with Electronic Health Records (NextGen) a plus.

Licenses and Certificates:

+ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Arizona State License required

+ Registration in American Registry of Rad Techs (ARRT) required

+ BLS certification required

FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE

Employees are required to maintain a current Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Proof of a current fingerprint clearance card must be received within 90 days of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may potentially be exposed to infectious organisms during routine and emergency situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
