**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Google Cloud Migration opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.**

**Location:** Phoenix, AZ

**Duration:** 6 months

**Duties:**

+ Migrate existing applications and workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

+ Provide production support and incident management for cloud-hosted applications.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

+ Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.

+ Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of deployed applications.

+ Monitor and troubleshoot applications using tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.

+ Support the creation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and related tools.

**Skills:**

+ Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

+ Solid understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, and GCP storage solutions.

+ Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

+ Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.

+ Skilled in writing and managing Ansible scripts.

+ Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.

+ Proficient in monitoring tools including Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.

+ Knowledge of additional GCP services such as Pub/Sub, Memstore, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions is a plus.

**Experience:**

+ Proven experience in cloud application development, migration, and support in GCP environments.

+ Background in production support and incident management within cloud infrastructure.

**Education:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
