You will report directly to our APAC HSE Manager and you’ll work out of our Tokyo, Japan location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact our organization by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for **approximately 25% travel for business trips** to various sites as needed.
• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
• Training internal and external customers, ensuring efficient and effective HSE engineering practices.
• Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
• Extensive in HSE Engineering
• Fluent in Japanese, Business level English
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices, such as ISO14001 or ISO45001.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
• Strong business acumen and ability to align HSE engineering with organizational goals.
• Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
