Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a short-term contract position in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with relevant regulations. The position is ideal for someone experienced in payroll systems and capable of working with web-based programs.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately using web-based software, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Manage certified payroll documentation and reporting requirements.

• Utilize tracking systems to monitor payroll activities and maintain records.

• Handle payroll for single-state operations efficiently and in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure proper administration of benefits such as 401k plans.

• Conduct audits to verify payroll accuracy and compliance.

• Operate within established policies and procedures to uphold payroll integrity.

• Provide detailed reporting and analysis on payroll operations as needed. Requirements • Proven experience with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.

• Familiarity with certified payroll processes and related documentation.

• Strong understanding of single-state payroll regulations and compliance.

• Proficiency in web-based payroll software and accounting functions.

• Ability to administer benefits programs, including 401k plans.

• Excellent auditing skills to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines.
