The Account Executive, Oncology will be responsible for expanding the Cardinal Health Specialty footprint within existing community-based Oncology customer base by pursuing new product lines, technology services and the retention of existing business within a defined geography. The community-based oncology and urology markets are a complex, ever-evolving market the changes along with the state of value-based care. The Account Executive will ensure a strong market presence for Cardinal Specialty within drug distribution and technology solutions that support community oncology practices. This role will partner closely with Sales Directors and Key Account Managers, Inside Sales to ensure a strong Cardinal Health network and a seamless focus on the customer.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manage key account customer relationships at the senior executive level (C- suite or senior decision maker).
+ Responsible for overall account success, to include leading deal modeling and approval processes, developing and executing account strategies.
+ Demonstrate professional development initiatives: keep abreast of competitive landscape, market insights, and effectively communicate across key internal and external stakeholders.
+ Oversee all contracting activity within the account, to include providing leadership and direction for all contract strategies, Request for Proposals (RFP) and locally negotiated agreements. Take ownership of insuring rebate and discount programs, are applied when/where needed.
+ Ensure mutual development of KPI’s with account are established, business reviews are conducted to measure and track progress, to attain all customer commitments.
+ Participate in, and when asked lead, sales training programs. Mentor junior members of the sales team.
+ Utilize Cardinal Health’s CRM to maintain accurate records, track business, monitor sales leads and enact retention and expansion strategies. Provide reliable competitive intelligence to appropriate stakeholders.
+ Professionally represent Cardinal Health at industry association and tradeshow events.
+ Develop key relationships with pharmaceutical company counterparts; appropriately leverage the relationships for mutual benefit.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field or commiserate experience preferred; graduate degree preferred
+ Minimum eight years of healthcare sales and complex account/relationship management experience preferred
+ Experience with customers of and understanding of Oncology and Urology physician office business preferred
+ Excellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skills
+ Proven ability to design win-win strategies for Cardinal Health and the client base
+ Self-starter; able to determine, independently, solutions that ensure business objectives are achieved within acceptable tolerances
+ Demonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams
+ Executive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilities
+ Ability to travel 50% within the territory; work from home when not traveling
+ Customer/Vendor credentialing may be required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected.
+ Live within the current open region: Midwest-Central.
+ Ability to work remotely from home/field requires a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet.
Anticipated pay range: $200,000-$255,000 (includes targeted variable incentive pay)

The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
