POSITION SUMMARY:

The Concrete Stringline Formsetter is responsible for the layout, installation, and quality control of stringline systems used for concrete placement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure proper site housekeeping and protection measures (e.g., safety caps on stakes, dust control logs, etc.)
Read and interpret plans and grades to accurately set stringline for concrete operations
Set, adjust, and maintain stringline for curb machines and other concrete equipment
Ensure stringline is set to correct elevation, alignment, and tension per project specifications
Use measuring tools, lasers, levels, and grade rods to verify accuracy
Double-check all stringline setups against plans to prevent misalignment or elevation errors
Inspect stringline during pours and make real-time adjustments as needed
Assist with ADA layout verification for ramps and flatwork elements
Perform additional tasks as assigned related to concrete layout, site preparation, or other field operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience working with stringline setup
Knowledge of curb, gutter, and flatwork installation methods

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly works outdoors in varying weather conditions
Frequently stands, bends, kneels, and lifts heavy materials
Must be able to lift, push, and pull objects and equipment over 50 lbs
Requires good manual dexterity and stamina
Exposure to active construction zones with machinery, trip hazards, and environmental elements
This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Must be willing and able to drive within a 60+ mile radius from DCS's office to and from assigned job site.
