Description

Robert Half Management Resouces is seeking a experienced Controller to lead financial operations and ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant reporting for one of our manufacturing clients. This role will oversee accounting functions, financial reporting, cost accounting, and compliance—playing a key role in communication with private equity sponsors and lenders. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in manufacturing finance, internal controls, and inventory management, with a preference for those with private equity-backed business exposure.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver GAAP-compliant financial statements and investor reports.

• Manage month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, and internal controls.

• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and BOM accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with lender requirements, including financial covenant reporting.

• Lead financial audits, tax filings, and communication with external financial partners.

• Provide actionable financial analysis, budgeting, and margin/opex reporting.

• Improve and automate accounting systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in accounting (CPA preferred).

• 5+ years in a senior accounting or controller role; manufacturing experience required.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and lender reporting.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise and ERP systems.

• Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and financial modeling.

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
