Commitment: 1-4 day(s)per week · 2 hours · 1 Semester

About Us:
Future for KIDS is a nonprofit dedicated to providing mentor-driven out-of-school time programs focused on Academics, Athletics, and Ethics. We serve youth facing adversity by connecting them with caring college-aged mentors who inspire confidence, growth, and leadership.
Position Summary:
As a Volunteer Mentor, you will build meaningful relationships with 3rd–6th grade students at underserved schools. Each session includes academic support, engaging physical activity, and guided ethics discussions. You’ll work alongside a site team and other mentors to help kids thrive—no experience required, just heart and commitment.
Responsibilities:
Attend a weekly 2-hour after-school session (same day/time each week)
Build positive mentor-mentee relationships
Support youth in hands-on STEM activities, character-building lessons, and team sports
Serve as a consistent role model and motivator
Follow program structure and behavior management strategies

Requirements:
Must be 16+ years old
Pass a background check
Attend one training before program start
Programs run at multiple school sites Monday–Thursday between 1:15–6:00 PM. Specific locations and times available upon request.
