We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in a doctor's office setting. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing patients' blood, performing specimen processing, and ensuring the accuracy and proper entry of information into our computer system.
Responsibilities
+ Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
+ Accurately enter specimen information into the company's computer system.
+ Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute specimens to the appropriate analytical area.
+ Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
+ Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
+ 2-3 years of prior phlebotomy experience.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Proficient in blood draw, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ GED or High School Diploma required.
+ Experience in laboratory and specimen processing.
+ Strong patient care skills.
Work Environment
This position is located within a doctor's office where the Phlebotomist will be drawing blood from patients and collaborating closely with medical assistants. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The environment promotes growth and offers career advancement opportunities, with a career ladder available after six months that can lead to a 4% pay increase.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
