The Applied Research team at the Center for Advanced AI is seeking research scientist interns to advance the state of the art in Generative AI. Our focus is on large language models, vision-language models, and diffusion models, with the goal of advancing state-of-the-art research and producing impactful publications in top-tier conferences.
What You Will Do:
+ Collaboration with Experts: Work alongside our world-class research scientists to develop innovative ideas and strive to publish findings in prestigious venues such a s but not limited to NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, KDD, ACL, CVPR, CHI, and ICLR.
+ Hands-On AI Research: Formulate hypotheses, construct datasets, train models, and evaluate results across research in such as but not limited to nat ural language processing, large language model , computer vision, speech recognition, and physical AI .
+ Model Training: Gain practical experience in industry-scale model training using our distributed infrastructure.
+ Model Evaluation: Collaborate with our dedicated annotation team to evaluate models and provide feedback to enhance research and model performance.
+ Engagement in Research Discussions: Participate in discussions and team meetings focused on the latest developments in Generative AI.

Basic Qualifications
+ Currently enrolled in an MS or a PhD program in the field of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related field, with a focus on Generative AI and Foundation models.
+ Anticipated graduation date (at the time of application) no earlier than January 2026 .
+ One year of experience in deep learning and neural networks, specifically, in training foundation models such as large language models, diffusion models OR developing scalable infrastructure to train and deploy foundation models on GPU clusters.
+ Programming skills in Python.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience .
Preferred Qualifications
+ At least two plus years of experience as a researcher, including internships, full-time jobs, or in academic labs, in deep learning and neural networks, particularly training foundation models such as large language models on GPUs.
+ Ability to formulate a research problem , design, experiment, implement and communicate solutions.
+ Ability to work in a diverse collaborative environment.
+ Strong Programming skills in Python with at least two years of experience.
+ Experience using machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch , TensorFlow, JAX or related frameworks.
+ Working knowledge of computer architecture, and familiarity with the fundamentals of GPU architectures.
+ Ability to design and execute research agendas.
+ Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra and statistics .
+ First-authored publications at leading machine learning conferences such as NeurIPS , ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICASSP.
Participation in this internship program requires that you are physically located in the United States for the duration of the internship. Depending on availability and business need , there may be an opportunity for a full-time or a part-time fall internship.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
