**Job Title: Environmental Technician - Laborer**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated Environmental Technicians to join our facility in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves handling and processing hazardous materials in a dynamic environment. Technicians will receive comprehensive training, including forklift operation, to excel in this position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate forklifts and other equipment for moving hazardous waste materials.
+ Conduct processes to consolidate containers and sort waste into the correct drums.
+ Load trucks with up to 60 drums and ensure all items are properly labeled and counted.
+ Perform 'strap & wrap' procedures to secure containers for transportation.
+ Offload hazardous waste containers from trucks and trailers and prepare clean supplies for the next day.
+ Perform quality checks and inventory management of chemical waste materials.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with hazardous material handling and chemical waste management.
+ Forklift operation experience is preferred, certification is a plus.
+ Ability to lift between 5-100 lbs, either manually or using equipment.
+ 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (training provided).
+ Ability to work outdoors year-round and adapt to varying weather conditions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in transportation or service centers is beneficial.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is industrial, with operations primarily outdoors. Employees must be comfortable working in all seasons, with early start times to accommodate weather conditions. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
