_You will report directly to our_ Engineering Manager, _and you will work out of our Boyne City, MI or Freeport, IL location. This role is eligible for a hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days._

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Lead and drive the mechanical design process, from concept to production.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.

+ Design and develop complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

The annual base salary range for this position in both Boyne City, MN and Freeport, IL is $103,000 - $129,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

**U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS**

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

**YOU MUST HAVE**

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

+ 6+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.

+ Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.

+ Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, including experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools.

**WE VALUE**

+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Advanced Engineering degrees such as ME (Mechanical Engineering).

+ Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects.

+ New Product Development Experience

+ Computer-Aided Design Skills preferably ProE / Creo

+ Electro-Mechanical design experience

+ Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

+ Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.

+ Experience with product testing and validation.
