Who are we looking for?

GHD is seeking a detail-oriented and organizedOutreach Coordinatorto join our engagement and communications team in Phoenix, Arizona.The successful candidate will become part of our growing West Region Strategic Communications, Engagement, and Communities (SCEC) business.

As an Outreach Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our broader community outreach efforts and play a key role in supporting our field and technical teams through effective, on-the-ground public coordination. You will report to a local SCEC team lead and work with other SCEC staff in Arizona and across the West.

The Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in the successful implementation of the Voluntary Soil Remediation Program by ensuring consistent and clear communication between the program team and local stakeholders. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the outreach office and remote outreach staff, facilitating smooth project execution, timely information sharing, and strong community engagement throughout the lifecycle of each participating property.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

* Public/Government Relations Campaign Execution: Execute a public relations, government relations, regulation, and registration plan for a particular product, service, or specialty area while working within established systems.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.
* Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
* Content Creation: Collate and summarize information for use in developing content and write first drafts of straightforward content for print or websites.
* Document Preparation: Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
* Public/Government Relations Campaign Management: Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers; act as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract to deliver successful public relations and government relations campaigns.
* Operational Compliance: Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
* Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
* Information and Business Advice: Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
* Public/Government Relations Campaign Planning: Develop tactical public relations campaigns planning to assist in the achievement of public relations goals.
* External Communications: Help others get the most out of external communications systems by offering support and advice.
* Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.

Education


* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Experience


* 0-3 year of experience in a professional setting
