This position assists the Program Director and club staff to support daily activities and games throughout the club. The goal is to promote positive participation, good sportsmanship, and the element of fun in all activity areas; works in all youth club areas as directed. Youth club areas include Games Room, Computer Lab, Education Center/Learning Lab, Art Room, Gym, and Teen Center.

Time Required: Min. 8 hours weekly per semester; renewable each semester as appropriate

Littleton Branch (in the area of 107th Ave & Lower Buckeye Rd)
Littleton clubhouse hours - approximately 2:30-6 pm Mon - Fri
Club Activity Specialist hours - 2:30 - 5:30 pm Mon - Fri while DLC operates
Note: Club resumes traditional after-school hours when the DLC is no longer needed, clubhouse hours transition to 3-7 pm Mon - Fri

Tri-City West Branch (in the area of Dysart Rd & E. Western Ave)
TCW clubhouse hours approximately 3-6 pm
Club Activity Specialist Hours - 2:30-5:30 pm Mon - Fri while DLC operates
Note: Club resumes traditional after-school hours when the DLC is no longer needed, clubhouse hours transition to 3-7 pm Mon - Fri

Peoria Branch (in the area of 83rd Ave & W. Cactus)
Peoria clubhouse hours approximately 2-6 pm Mon - Fri while DLC operates

**If selected: the student will need to pass BGCAZ required background check (no cost to the student), complete orientation, and complete new hire training.**

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist BGCAZ club staff with games, activities, and special events as directed.
- Assist BGCAZ club staff with activities and programs fostering members’ academic success
- Assist in the general supervision of youth.
- Maintain supplies and equipment.
- Interact with youth members as a positive adult role model.
- Encourage youth participation in activities.
- Comply with all safety standards and policies as dictated by BGCAZ.
- Comply with discipline practices of BGCAZ and report all incidents of inappropriate behavior to the supervisor.
- Report any incidences of suspected child abuse to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding members and personal information as dictated by BGCAZ.
- Maintain accurate records of service time.
- Maintain accurate records of members’ activities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Pass the BGCAZ background investigation.
- Desire to help children.
- Ability to relate to children in a positive, patient, sensitive, non-judgmental manner.
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to honor club schedules and to arrive on time.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to take direction well.
- Knowledge of youth development desired
- Current EMCC Student
- Minimum one semester completed
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
