Job Description:
Microchip Technology Incorporated is seeking a self-driven and motivated tax professional to join our tax department, located in Chandler, Arizona. The tax analyst position will focus on gathering and analyzing data to assist in the preparation of the Company’s consolidated income tax provision, domestic federal income tax return, as well as other state and foreign income tax filings. Specific responsibilities include:
Assist in the preparation of various forms and schedules included within the Company’s Form 1120 – U.S corporation income tax return
Prepare various state income tax returns and supporting calculations including apportionment, blended state rate, and state taxable income calculations
Prepare/assist with the preparation of various components of Microchip’s global income tax provision in accordance with ASC-740
Prepare/assist with the quarterly preparation of federal and state estimated income tax payments and extensions
Assist in the preparation of responses to various taxing authorities to resolve notices and audits
Research and understand tax legislation and tax law changes for various income tax issues and participate in modeling different scenarios
Data collection and analysis (including accounting systems, tax systems, and direct inquiry to business partners)
Requirements/Qualifications:1-4 years’ experience in a tax or accounting role either in industry or public accounting
Experience with tax compliance and tax provision software (preferably OneSource RS), tax research software (such as Bloomberg), and Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on Excel

The Team

+ Translation of the updated About Me tax "organizer" from English to Japanese for broad roll-out to the JSG client users
+ Correspondence with US and US India team members in English (written and verbal) to coordinate the missing tax data collection process and tax return delivery process
The Team
At Deloitte Tax LLP, our Global Employer Services mobility tax professionals assist our international clients in managing employer and individual income tax obligations for their mobile employees working abroad and inbound which includes but not limited to reviewing and signing income tax returns and reviewing cost projections. In addition to managing compliance, the practice consults clients to develop international assignment programs and policies and to minimize tax obligations through the use of effective tax planning. Qualifications
Required
+ Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
+ Fluent in both English and Japanese (i.e. fully bilingual)
+ 1+ years of experience in global mobility compliance or personal income tax and compliance
+ Experience in Managing people, Client Interaction and Sales
+ Office/Technical skills including Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, QlikView, and Tableau
+ Minimum of a bachelor's degree
+ One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtai:
+ Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
+ If not CPA eligible, one of the other designations listed below based on role requirements and business approval:
+ Licensed Attorney
+ Enrolled Agent
+ Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)
+ Certified Equity Professional (CEP)
+ Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $56,880 to $104,520.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
