Global Construction Engineering (GCE) is responsible for the design and engineering of all of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom projects across the globe. Life Safety scope includes visual and audible alarms and smoke detection systems. Security includes cameras and access control systems. I/C (Instrumentation and Controls) scope consists on systems that monitor and control Intel facilities using instrumentation like sensors, actuators, and control systems, ensuring efficient and safe operation by analyzing data and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain desired parameters.
This hybrid position based at the Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona.
Life Safety/Security and I&C Project Engineer - Global Construction Engineering your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Early feasibility of new facilities improvement projects.
Detailed facilities scope development through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and other project engineers.
Serve as Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution to supply chain partners performing detailed design and construction.
Interface and coordinate with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources.
Interface with facilities staff and project managers to enable facility design efforts for their area of expertise.
Define design criteria, lead scope definition and justification, develop design concepts, and oversee completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.
Collaborate with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.
Exhibit strong knowledge of Intel's master specifications and standards yet use the change management process to improve standards and drive innovative solutions.
Collaborate and share learnings with their counterparts at other sites across the globe.
Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution.The ideal candidate will exhibit the following behavioral traits:

Minimum qualifications:
The candidate must possess one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Instrument Control or a closely related field with 4+ years of experience in design and construction of Life Safety/Security Systems (LSS) and Instrumentation and control (I&C) systems.
OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Instrument Control or a closely related field with 3+ years of experience in design and construction of Life Safety/Security Systems (LSS) and Instrumentation and control (I&C) systems.Preferred qualifications:
2+ years of experience designing instrumentation for life safety systems.
1+ year of experience developing, designing, testing, and commissioning new control systems. Skills to develop instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, P/ID drawings for control systems and PLC\SCADA interface systems in full compliance with recognized industry standards, safety standards, and client specifications.
1+ year of experience of standard industrial Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) systems to be able to interact, plan and coordinate the activities of MEP engineers and technicians in support of troubleshooting and/or integrating control changes to their system to achieve the required results.
Knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (P/ID's, Sequence of Operations, Engineering Specifications, and Design Standards).
PLC programming and troubleshooting for the HPM and TAS system and associated I/O point management, implementing, tracking and managing continuous improvement projects.
Familiarity with Autocad, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 and other 2D and 3D modeling tools.
