Position Summary: The Project Engineer II assists the Superintendent, Project Manager, and Contracts Administration group.

Essential Functions:

Duties vary by project, typically include:

+ Take all necessary actions to comply with all laws and regulations at assigned site.

+ Maintain the construction schedule, provide performance-based financials (budget vs. actual).

+ Provide appropriate communication with the client in accordance with client driven processes.

+ Ensure that the crew audit program is implemented according to established policy.

+ Assist in the establishment of Project Management programs to maximize Safety, Quality and Productivity on the work site.

+ Produce and coordinate required information associated with construction projects, including but not limited to review and submission of Time and Equipment sheets, payroll inputs, tools and materials documentation, processing A/P invoices.

+ Assisting with the job site reporting function (i.e. daily required reports, safety, Environmental, etc.).

+ Filling system set-up and maintenance, establishing/maintaining/monitoring document control logs, i.e. RFI’s, shop drawings).

+ Producing and logging project photographic records.

+ Assisting in preparation of labor reports and cost reports.

+ Coordinating and assisting with information distribution to subcontractors and own forces.

Minimum Requirements:

+ BA/BS degree in related field and/or 3 years of prior relevant experience desired, preferably with a self-performing union contractor.

+ Self-starter, detail oriented combined with ability to follow up and close out tasks.

+ Strong written, presentational, influencing and communication skills.

+ Experience as a “change agent” that can work effectively with all levels of the corporation.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong problem-solving skills.

+ Strong analytical skills.

+ Experience with Scheduling and management processes.

+ A strong working knowledge of appropriate software associated with effective. Project Management and Controls.

+ Ability to work with all levels of the corporation in a collegial and relationship building fashion and act as a mentor to field supervision and operations personnel.

+ Appropriate experience managing constructed projects and an understanding of applicable processes.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft, (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) required.

+ Timberline Accounting, (Job cost, Payroll, A/P) experience and proficiency preferred.

+ Construction management and / or Engineering discipline.

+ Clean driving record.

+ Ability and willingness to travel and move from job site to job site possibly in remote areas.

Job Description

- Providing primary engineering expertise for plant group, including technical evaluations, economic analysis, drawing and document preparation.

- Coordinate and control the assigned projects.

- Participate in the design and implementation of the group responsibility training.

- Assist the Superintendent or Plant Manager with the O&M and Capital budgeting and budget adherence. To develop accurate and comprehensive budgets and monitor them for adherence.

+ Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings and identify work installed to track labor feedback accurately.

+ Ability to prepare equipment delivery log and track status of these orders.

+ Competent with general business writing and public speaking.

+ Has competency in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office products.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to procure, manage and update the submittal process.

+ Ability to communicate with field foremen to write and track RFI’s both internally with our design department and externally with the architect or other designers

+ Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including CAD drawings, Blueprints, Submittals, etc.

+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, 1-3 years experience in related field.

As a Biomedical Technician with Fresenius Medical Care, you will maintain and repair medical and water treatment equipment within our kidney care clinics. You will also train and educate colleagues on operational maintenance of our dialysis machines to ensure the safety of our dialysis patients, as well as manage the medical supplies required.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.

• Maintains the physical plant, as directed.

• Performs initial and annual verification and ongoing monitoring of patient care staff’s technique for testing water system, assuring tests and documentation comply with manufacturer’s specifications for the devices and test equipment used.

• Completes all technical training programs required by state/federal regulations and company policy.

• Provides scheduled after hour technical on-call coverage for your clinics as needed.

**EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:**

+ High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repair and Maintenance:

+ Performs timely routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities to dialysis equipment and water treatment systems and as required and recommended by the manufacturer and established company policy and procedures, including maintaining aesthetics of the equipment and water room.

+ Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled routine repair and maintenance of physical plant by company approved vendors.

+ Participates in preventive maintenance of all ancillary devices assuring it follows manufacturer’s recommendations and in compliance with company policies and procedures, industry standards and local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

+ Purchases and maintains an inventory of service parts using approved sources and ensures RGA and warranty parts are returned in a timely manner.

+ Performs water/dialysate sample collection and processing and reviews and participates in evaluation and reporting of quality results per applicable policies and procedures.

+ Documents all daily, weekly, monthly repair and maintenance activity/repairs per applicable policies and/or procedures.

+ Updates project tracking or other company tracking/documentation systems as assigned.

Regulatory Compliance:

+ Participates in monthly Technical CQI/QAI process, assisting with the analysis, assembly and assimilation of information and data and contributing in technical discussion, including reporting outcomes and creating and implementing improvement plans approved by supervisor.

+ Collaborates with facility staff to ensure all regulatory and OSHA requirements are met.

+ Reviews water system documentation to verify compliance (i.e. readings are within parameters).

+ Performs daily, weekly, and monthly trend analysis on the water system, anticipating appropriate action to assure system functions as designed.

+ Identifies instances where company policy and procedures are not being met including escalation of issues to next level management.

Medical Supply Inventory:

+ Participates in managing Program’s Medical Supply Inventory by managing par values, making sure program has the correct inventory to support the patient treatments, performing physical inventory counts and generating a physical inventory report.

Miscellaneous, Operational and Educational:

+ Must obtain and maintain water treatment equipment qualification by completing Annual Water Training.

+ Supports clinical education by administering return demonstrations during Annual Water Training.

+ Must maintain current required certifications.

+ Monitors and reviews patient care staff’s technique for testing water system, assuring tests and documentation meet policy and comply with manufacturer’s specifications for the devices and test equipment used.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Internship Program at Cupertino Electric, Inc. is a 10-to-12-week program designed to expose undergraduate and post-graduate students to various aspects of CEI’s core markets: Commercial, Data Center, and Energy & Renewables. The program offers students unique opportunities to contribute to real-world projects and make meaningful industry connections. Although we are headquartered in California, we have major projects and offices in many other states including Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Utah.

_Below is a detailed example of responsibilities an intern may participate in or contribute to during their time with CEI:_

+ **Estimate Phase** : Creating a bid strategy, getting quotations, and writing proposal letters.

+ **Pre-Construction:** Negotiating contract terms, creating an original budget and schedule. Creating a plan with the production team to address; efficiency, logistics, and materials. Organizing all documents and drawings, selecting subcontractors and holding a job start meeting.

+ **Construction:** Managing materials, submittals, and change orders. Maintaining activity logs, managing materials, vendors, and subcontractors. Writing documents including RFI’s and notice letters. Monitoring project progress, including cost and safety.

+ **Closeout:** Managing closeout documents, commissioning equipment, and returning excess material.
