**Summary**
The **Project Engineer** supports field activities and spends a majority of time working with the Project Manager supporting project administration on multiple small projects, or one medium to large-size projects. Ameresco currently has an opening for a Project Development Engineer to join our Phoenix-based Team to develop and implement energy efficiency and distributed energy projects. This is a hybrid position onsite in our office 2-3 days a week with occasional travel required supporting large C&I client projects.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead behind-the-meter solar PV, battery storage, and EV charger projects from early stage through construction
+ Evaluate layout options based on customer site information and as-built drawings
+ Perform energy modeling and utility cost analysis
+ Visit customer sites to investigate project feasibility and interconnection methods
+ Coordinate onsite engineering and investigative activities with the utility, outside engineering, surveying, and vendors
+ Make equipment selections based on project needs, material availability, and costs
+ Generate project budgets and schedules in conjunction with Pre-Construction
+ Provide technical support to Pre-Construction in the request for bids

SCOPE: Under minimum supervision, perform planning, supervising, designing, and maintaining construction projects for the water and reclamation industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Projects:
+ Provides professional engineering and project management on a variety of waterworks projects simultaneously, from conception through completion, which involves developing project schedules, monitoring project progress and budget, preparing, and maintaining project files, monitoring quality of projects, and ensuring deadlines are met.
+ Projects include water infrastructure to private and public water utilities and mining clients including water master plans, wells, pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels, and water pump stations.
+ Provides effective and timely project communication, both orally and in writing, and ability to represent the company in meetings and presentations to municipal and private industry clients, other governmental agencies, utilities, and the public.
+ Exhibits the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
