Join our team as a Project Engineering Technician, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting project management and engineering staff through all project phases—from preliminary design to construction.

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Engineering Technician II / Engineering Technician III in our Chandler, AZ facility for our Common Cable Team.

The Chandler group performs cradle-to-grave engineering on the majority of their launch vehicles. They are working on approximately 15 separate vehicles at any given time, among them are Antares, Minotaur, Pegasus, GMD, Sentinel, and many more.

Their products serve a variety of purposes including ISS (International Space Station) cargo resupply, deploying defense satellites, developing missile interceptor technology, and providing much needed target vehicles to better hone our military capability.

**Salary Range:** $47,000 - $78,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Texas Instruments is seeking an Engineering Technician Intern to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for technical functions in support of product development lab engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication, assembly, characterization, functional validation, and electrical analysis of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, specialized test equipment, and/or IC devices. You will use test and diagnostic equipment, schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts and/or defined plans to perform operational testing, checkout, and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Engineering Technicians will also conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work as well as maintains lab processes and documentation in accordance with IATF 16949.

**General Responsibilities:**

Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results. Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas. May assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites. Adhere to strict safety standards.

**Essential Roles and Responsibilities:**

+ Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.

+ Provides clear documentation of findings and results.

+ Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.

+ Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager

+ Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.

+ Maintains assigned equipment.

+ Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

+ Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

+ Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.

+ Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O & M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.

+ Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.

+ Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

+ Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.

+ Recommends and prepares technical papers.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 10+ years of related work experience

+ Professional Engineer registration may be required

+ Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required

+ Possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
