    This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated System Safety Engineer II to join us onsite on the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) System Safety team in Tucson, AZ.

    As a System Safety Engineer II, your responsibilities will include:

    + Executing with a theoretical to advanced knowledge of MIL-STD-882E requirements

    + Performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400).

    + Analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance.

    + Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.

    + Collaborating with leadership and program stakeholders from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds.

    **Key Responsibilities will include:**

    + Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses

    + Preparing input to safety briefings of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process
