    Burns & McDonnell’s Southwest Region is seeking to hire a Senior Process Engineer with mining experience in our Phoenix, AZ office! The Senior Process Engineer will work on project teams to create world class designs for greenfield, retrofit and upgrade projects in the mining industry.     Responsibilities to include:

    + Perform process design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. Modify and review production drawings for process related activities on the mine site including but not limited to: crushing and milling, lime production, calcination, autoclaves, roasters, floatation, SX/EW, CIL, heap leach, effluent treatment plants, cyanide destruction, tails thickening and handling.

    + Design process components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. Apply strong knowledge of commonly used process engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the process engineering services industry.

    + Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.

    + Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.

    **Qualifications**

    + Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. Masters degree in Chemical Engineering may substitute for 1 year of experience.

    + 7 years of mineral process engineering experience.

    + PE registration or the ability to obtain registration within 1 year preferred.
