    The Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services (DTS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Applications Architect (Applications Development Lead). This position is responsible for leading system development and maintenance while guiding a team of developers. This role ensures project completion within established timelines and quality standards by making critical technical decisions, providing strategic direction and communicating project progress. The Applications Development Lead combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive the success of software development initiatives. The Applications Development Lead is also responsible for ensuring project completion on time and within quality standards, making technical decisions, mentoring team members, and acting as a bridge between the technical team and stakeholders by communicating project progress and requirements effectively. This position is also responsible for performing On-Call after hour support when needed.

    This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
