Your Opportunity

The role of a Senior Structural Engineer is to work independently on small and medium projects, and as a team leader of larger projects responsible for work of Structural Engineers. The Senior Structural Engineer will be able to evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems or products for a project.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Independently complete calculations and drawings for small and medium projects

- Development of job specific discipline specifications independently for less complex projects

- Lead junior engineers in complex projects

- Works with and coordinates with architectural, interiors, and other engineering disciplines

- Independently perform Construction Administration duties including completing field observations reports, responding to RFIs, submittal reviews, and evaluating contractor change orders

- Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.

- Communicate design issues and solutions with the design team and Owner clients

- Understand industry standard design processes and understanding of construction means and methods

- Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time, on budget, and at a high level of client service

- Nurtures existing client relationships.

- Assist with development of design standards

Your Capabilities and Credentials

- Requisite knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes

- Strong knowledge of structural systems, seismic design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards

- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form concepts and ideas to a diverse audience of Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients effectively

- Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule

- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in both independently and in team settings

- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought

- Healthcare experience preferred

- Federal experience preferred

Education and Experience

- Minimum 10 or more years of related experience

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Master’s Degree preferred

- Professional Engineering license is required, Structural Engineering license is preferred

- Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit)

- Experience with general business software (Microsoft Office suite)

- Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)

**AECOM** ’s Central Region is actively seeking a highly motivated Staff Civil Engineer to join the Phoenix, Arizona Geo-Civil team. Our strong local presence in Southern Arizona opens the doors to significant and interesting projects in the mining, dams, and power sectors. In this role there is an opportunity to grow technical and non-technical skills alongside a team of seasoned professionals while being given ownership that will stretch your potential.

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ Contribute to the design of regional mine sites, power plants, and dams. Facilities include stockpiles, impoundments, tailing dams, and water dams.

+ Generate conceptual layouts/designs and perform calculations/analyses for channels, culverts, headwalls, detention ponds, operating ponds, spillways, rock drains, check dams, and haulage/access/circulation roads. Designs incorporate erosion control features, geosynthetics, and exposed or sub-surface piping.

+ Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, quantity and cost estimates, and alternative assessments.

+ Prepare drafts of portions of technical proposals, reports, regulatory agency permits, as well as less complex external and internal documents.

+ Prepare reservoir and pond designs including geosynthetic lining, leak detection/collection systems, breach analysis, outlet works, and spillways

+ Design channels and energy dissipation structures that include concrete, riprap, articulated concrete block, fabric-formed concrete, and baffle blocks for erosion control

+ Coordinate and integrate civil design with results from geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs.

+ Develop tangible engineering design skills through periodic field experience. This may include construction support (verification of design implementation, adherence to quality, contractor/owner engagement), site inspections, and geotechnical investigations. Also provide construction support from the office by adapting designs to field conditions.

+ Recognize potential opportunities for additional work within an existing project or for an existing client.

+ Create engineering drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Participate actively in client meetings.

+ Intermittently engage on regional projects with other offices in the region.

The Operations Manager will oversee and manage day-to-day operations our HUB500 metals recycling plant located in Kingston, Ontario. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the position will oversee the daily and weekly planning and operation of the production department, while coordinating with all departments of the plant (receiving, inventory management, Safety, HR, etc.) and maintain production schedules and short-term forecasting to ensure that all company goals are achieved, and deadlines are met for the facility.

The ideal candidate will foster and develop a work environment within metals recycling that promotes trust, teamwork, performance, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Preproduction activities include:

• Interviewing and hiring of production operators
• Organize and assist supervisors in writing SOPs
• Participate in defining site operating policies
• Training of operators on SOP’s
• Instruct and manager production supervisors in pre-production activities
• Own the creation of line-up meeting boards and shift hand-over process
• Collaborate with logistics to finalize operating consumables storage locations
• Complete preproduction training

Postproduction activities include:

• Manages day-to-day recycling activities of the plant to ensure that production plans executed to meet customer demands and due dates.
• Organizes the operations and maintenance scheduling for the operations to ensure they are balanced with the production demands.

**Overview of Job Function:**

Verint’s Reliability Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the development and operational reliability of platforms and applications. In this highly skilled, hands-on role, our Reliability Engineer ensures the scalability, availability, performance, and reliability of cloud-based systems and participates in and leads the design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support of cloud-native solutions, while also serving as a subject matter expert for customer implementation and cloud platform support.

This Reliability Engineer works closely with a global team of engineers to build robust, observable, and resilient systems that meet business objectives, following DevOps and SRE best practices. The engineer also contributes to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, incident response, and postmortem analysis, while mentoring junior engineers and driving process improvements.

**Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Ongoing evaluation (test) of feature design – proactively work with others to identify issues or potential risk areas with the architecture (performance etc.)

+ Distill requirements from feature level into implementation level tasks

+ Ensure design and implementation work meets the stakeholder’s requirements

+ Ensure that the feature design is correct for operations, as well as deployment and sustainability

+ Support departmental and team initiatives by being the first one to take a call when high severity issues come up

+ Work with Team Technical Architect and Lead to define, document, and communicate coherent feature design

+ Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable software systems with a focus on operational excellence.

+ Implement and maintain observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure system health and performance.

+ Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.

+ Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.

+ Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

+ Proactively identify and address system bottlenecks, performance issues, and reliability risks.

+ Ensure the right work is being done, including unit tests, automation, throughput, capacities, security, and performance.

+ Support the design and implementation of fault-tolerant, self-healing systems.

+ Lead and contribute to blameless postmortems and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Guide and mentor team members on SRE principles, tooling, and best practices.

+ Communicate relevant risks and issues to stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.

+ Support planning with estimates, dependencies, risk areas, and sequencing tasks.

+ Advocate for and implement solutions to reduce technical debt and improve system maintainability.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience

+ 5 years of experience in software development and/or site reliability engineering.

+ Proficiency with relational databases

+ Strong experience with REST API/microservice applications

+ Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and/or Harness.

+ Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, AppDynamics.

+ Familiarity with container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.

+ Experience with cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure.

+ Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

+ Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python).

+ Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub).

+ Experience of continuous integration systems e.g. Jenkins, Harness

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and take ownership of assignments.

+ Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations

**Preferred Requirements:**

+ Experience with incident management and postmortem processes.

+ Experience with Java, C#, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.

+ Familiarity with SRE principles and practices (e.g., SLOs, SLIs, error budgets).

+ Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

+ Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) and test automation tools such as Selenium and Cucumber.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Assists the business development team in new project pursuits by providing input on RFPs/RFQs and participates in project interviews and presentations.

Your Opportunity

Senior Project Engineers plan, design, and direct engineering projects that focus on transportation systems such as such as highways, streets, bridges, tunnels, drainage structures, roadway lighting, airports, railroads, and commuter trains, of a complex nature.
