    **Job Description**

    The main function of a Systems Engineer in the Observability team typically involves managing and maintaining the performance of applications, workloads, and environments, deploying and supporting Application Performance Management (APM) tools, analyzing performance data, and troubleshooting issues, primarily with a focus on observability and monitoring. We are looking for a senior Dynatrace Observability Monitoring Engineer (Sr. IT Systems Engineer) to build and mature observability, application performance monitoring (APM), dashboards, and synthetic monitoring using Dynatrace and other monitoring engineering technology. Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoot incidents and resolve performance-related issues. Detect anomalies and ensure system stability. Ensure there are no monitoring gaps.

    **Responsibilities**

    + Deploying and providing support to Application Performance Management tools, as well as firefighting production problems that are performance related.

    + Planning, Installation and Administration of Dynatrace.

    + Onboarding Applications and hosts running in public and private cloud into Dynatrace.

    + Configuring Alerts and High-end business dashboards.

    + Setting up Observability monitoring Using OTel to capture all (metrics, logs, traces, SLO, SLI’s)

    + Adding Extensions and performing Integration to all AWS, GCE and Azure services.

    + Work in Rotational shifts.

    + Design and implement observability platforms and tools. Develop and improve instrumentation for monitoring and logging. Design and develop tools for metric collection, analysis, and reporting.

    + Proactively monitor systems, networks, and applications.

    + Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. Troubleshoot incidents and resolve performance-related issues. Detect anomalies and ensure system stability.

    + Assess platform owner’s situation, business needs, complex problems, and provide expert recommendations.

    + Complete configuration, installation and support of equipment to the specifications of the business. Maintain software applications and operating systems through regular maintenance. Maintain configuration and support documentation. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives. Supervise the administration of systems and servers to ensure availability of services to authorized users. Maintain multi-site network operations, software applications, operating systems through regular maintenance. Troubleshoot malfunctions of hardware, software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services

    **Education & Experience**

    + Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

    + Proven experience communicating effectively to multiple subjects and audiences

    + Experience with specific domain relevant to team

    + 5 years of experience with infrastructure technologies - APM and /or Observability technology with direct experience with Dynatrace

    + Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

    **Additional Qualifications**

    + Hands on working knowledge of AWS Cloud Platforms, GCP or other cloud technologies

    + Broad knowledge of IT Systems engineering

    + Understanding and ability to work on various OS platforms including AIX, Linux, Windows and Ansible Automation

    + Excellent written, technical, and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and independently

    + Capable and willing to receive work direction from direct and indirect leadership

    + Ability to transition abstract concepts into technical deployment designs

    + Ability to develop decision criteria and develop unbiased technology comparisons

    + Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills

    + Strong traits of decisiveness and judgment

    + Ability to develop decision criteria and develop unbiased technology comparisons

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    + Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)

    + Previous experience in PBM / health care industry

    + Understanding of security implications of domain

    + ITIL Foundations Certification

    + Desire to work in management and lead others

    **Physical Demands**

    + Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

    + Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, on-call, and shifts outside of Prime's core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    + Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

    + Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

    + Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

    Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
