    + Work independentlyto evaluate damages and defects of items and determine if items can be repaired. Make any required adjustments to items ahead of delivery and ensure item is in perfect condition to be delivered to the customer

    + Prioritize and execute on daily, weekly, and monthly tasks (repairs) to ensure completion in a effective and timely manner

    + Accurately reports outcomes of work in progress, completed, & past due work

    + Monitors inventory, and orders replacement parts and complete installs as needed

    + Ask clarifying questions when appropriate

    + Administer appropriate repair methods for various product types including, but not limited to:

    + Evaluate each piece of furniture to determine the type of wood and/or upholstery repairs, parts, and materials needed to complete the job

    + Case Goods: Burn-ins, refinishing, joinery, match colors, and simulate wood grain

    + Refinishes and patches damaged furniture including paint, stain, enamel or lacquers; mixes paints and stains to match existing finish

    + Repairs, replaces and rebuilds damaged wood, leather or upholstery furniture or mechanical parts

    + Operates tools such as power drills, sanders, saws, and other tools required for repair

    + Use scan technology to document pertinent carton level information, including condition, quantity, warehouse location and detail repair completed

    + Provide direct input into the existing user tools and make recommendations for improvements based on expertise & experience

    + Be a vocal contributor on the team

    + Contribute to the building and development of training materials for applicable functions

    + Must understand that this role will require you to work cooperatively with others, adjust to change, be a reliable team member, and work with other towards a common goal

    What You'll Need

    + At least 5+ years prior experience in furniture repair/construction

    + Advanced understanding of repairing wood items including: color and stain matching, damage/defect repair

    + Ability to use power and hand tools as needed

    + Advanced understanding of repairing upholstery and multiple fabric types a plus

    + High attention to detail and prioritizes quality to deliver a perfect item to the customer.

    + Must be comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted and moving product 150+ lbs. unassisted or via team lift

    + Must be able to work on warehouse floor 8 hours a day or more

    + Strong, consistent work ethic and ability to manage time effectively

    + Comfort with scanning technology.

    + Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Certification in Furniture Repair/Restoration, preferred
