**Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Records time spent, parts used and repairs and/or maintenance conducted on appropriate form.

+ Performs road calls and on the road repairs as assigned.

+ Advises Lead Technician of unsafe maintenance conditions or practices and/or vehicle abuse.

**Description**

Under general supervision, plans and assists with multiple engineering projects, including instrument installation, maintenance, calibration, layout and design, new product evaluation, hazard identification and communication in support of Mine Engineering group.

+ Train and mentor new engineers and technicians.

+ Organize and manages the installation, troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of instrumentation that includes the review and recommendation of new or enhanced monitoring equipment.

+ Oversee the safe execution of field activities and projects by vendors and contractors.

+ Perform as Engineer backup as required (tasks may vary depending on support required).

+ Work directly with vendors and contractors in the support of data collection and interpretation of data.

+ Operate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and LiDAR scanners for data collection and other engineering purposes.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Job Summary:**

+ Performs and documents engineering and verification testing activities for a product (or product family).

+ Assists the engineering team in the development of test methods, work instructions, and other documentation as required.

+ Prepares test samples according to work instructions and procedures for engineering and verification testing.

As an FPGA Design Engineer on the Boeing AvionX team, you will design state-of-the-art digital ICs/SoCs to support the most critical programs across the Boeing Commercial and Defense enterprise. We also collaborate with other electronics groups across the company and around the world.

**Position Responsibilities**

+ Perform FPGA design on single or multi-FPGA programs working on small or large teams consisting of other FPGA designers, verification engineers, and project engineers

+ Support FPGA development projects requiring early proof of concept designs as well as high assurance / safety critical FPGA development programs requiring very high robust FPGA performance

+ Collaborate with system engineers, hardware engineers, and software engineers to drive requirements capture and architect digital logic functions to meet mission/customer needs

+ Explore trade-space of potential ASIC/FPGA technologies and determine the optimal parts, weighing Schedule, Cost, Risk, Area, Power (SCRAP) vs. performance

+ Drive robustness and rigor into early adopter technology solutions that lack sufficient level of capability for use in high assurance / safety critical Avionics solutions

+ Engage in FPGA/Hardware first time power up and as needed during system, software, hardware, and FPGA lab integration

+ Contribute to continuously improving upon our FPGA Design processes to keep pace with the latest technologies and high assurance methodologies and tools

This position performs waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA ‘88 in an accurate and timely manner with supervision. As a Sr. Automation Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance on production equipment. These products are mechanical components made to tight tolerances in a high-volume manufacturing capacity. You will gain in-depth product knowledge and maintain high equipment performance and uptime.
