The Assistant Vice President, Principal Software Engineer craves working in a hands-on system design and architecture environment and leads by example to make sure time sensitive projects get done on time and to specifications. To be successful in this role, deep expertise in solution and event-driven architecture, microservice architecture, cloud technologies and the ability to influence and lead a team are musts.

This AVP will lead the development and the life cycle management of our consumer bank and credit servicing applications by creating and developing thoughtful solutions to anticipate bugs and maintain operational excellence. In short, you would be one of our technical experts and team leaders.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

+ Influence many agile development teams through all phases of the Agile development life cycle through SAFe

+ Implement new technologies and assist developers as they migrate to new technologies

+ Architect applications across the full stack, experience in PCF, Cloud Native Application Architecture, Microservices ecosystem, J2EE, Spring Java, and RESTful APIs are a must.

+ Design data models to support complex business processes

+ Drive a CI/CD strategy using our Jenkins, Bitbucket, and uDeploy stack.

+ Influence and collaborate with software developers, UX designers, product managers, application architects, and customer application experts to create amazing apps.

+ Mentor and influence all levels of the team: in this role, you will have the opportunity to influence up and down the chain of command

+ Ensure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by Synchrony

+ Assist in crafting and maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy, along with our application modernization and migration roadmap.

+ Participate in Agile scrums consisting of cross-functional teams

+ Lead Agile sprints as the technical expert, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions, and sprint reviews

+ Ensure application code quality through development, test, and QA

+ Participate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolution

+ Ability to analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixes

+ Passionate about the latest technologies, open-source projects and languages

+ Provide 24x7 on-call support periodically throughout the year

+ Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance

+ Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company's products

+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's degree and a minimum 4 years of experience with software engineering OR, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED 6 years of experience with software engineering.

+ Minimum 4 years of application development experience.

+ Spring Boot and Spring Cloud development background.

+ Critical Thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills

**Grade/Level: 10**

The salary range for this position is **95,000.00 - 160,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

**Key responsibilities for this role include:**

+ Responsible for analyzing raw materials, intermediates, and final products following company processes and procedures.

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Job Description

The Center for Adaptable Western Landscapes seeks multiple Biological Research Technicians to be hired through a cooperative agreement between Northern Arizona University and the US Geological Survey (USGS). The Research Technicians will primarily conduct field-based sampling of vegetation and soils in Mojave Desert and other parts of the desert Southwest. Additionally, this position will be responsible for data collection, entry, and analysis on a windows-based computer. This position is field-based (10 to 20 days per month), part-time, and seasonal (Starting March 2025 for up to 6 months). Applicant must have a valid driver's license and Arizona address. Position receives $30/day camping per diem rate when in the field.

Field Work/Data Collection - 80%

• Performs various technical functions in research settings to generate and validate data
• Conduct field-based sampling of vegetation and soils in Mojave Desert and other parts of the desert Southwest.
• Use maps, compasses, and GPS units to navigate in the field
• Sets up, operates, and maintains a variety of standard laboratory or test equipment of moderate complexity
• Practices safety and environmental control methods

Data Entry and Management - 15%

• Enter data and manage data quality
• Obtains and processes data using standardized procedures; enters data into appropriate databases and performs basic interpretations
• Uses standardized and/or specialized statistical and scientific programs to process experimental data.

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience as a Biological Technician with duties related to this position.
• Experience with methods, procedure, and techniques of collection of biological data.

• Field experience working in remote backcountry settings under sometimes harsh field conditions.

Salary

FLSA Status

Conduct and document chemical, physical, and microbiological tests of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for various purposes, such as research and development of new products or processes, quality control, stability, and maintenance of environmental standards. Assure compliance with FDA regulations and ANS policies and procedures including safety, documentation, training, SOPs and STMs. Maintain SOPs, STMs, and specifications. + Experience in Instrumental Analysis techniques (i.e. FTIR, UV-Vis, DSC, DMA, TMA, TGA, Rheology, GCMS, NMR, ICP-OES, HPLC, GPC, SEM, EDS)

+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

+ Equivalent MOS: 89D (US Army); 2171 (US Marine Corps), 4B0X1 (US Air Force)

+ Demonstrated ability to apply analytical chemistry principles to industry applications.

+ Specific majors: ACS certified Chemistry degree with strong analytical/instrumentation skills

+ Understanding of Polymer Chemistry

+ Understanding of Systems Engineering

+ Understanding of material safety datasheets and Military/Industrial Specifications

+ Knowledge of data analysis, modeling and simulation, statistics, and various computational techniques for complex multi-variable problems.

+ Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and time management skills

+ Demonstrated strong written and verbal scientific communication skills

+ Demonstrated ability to lead and complete multi-disciplined scientific based projects including failure analysis investigations

+ Ability to write concise technical reports summarizing analyses

+ MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
