The Department of Economic Security, Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services (DERS) strengthens Arizona communities by bridging and minimizing gaps to employment and independence.
DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA). This position will report to the Supervisor and provide vocational rehabilitation counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities to address barriers to employment and gain the skills to enter, gain, or retain employment. This position will serve in a hybrid work environment.
Based on your qualifications, you will be placed in one of the following tiers:
• Entry Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
Bachelor's degree in a field of study reasonably related to rehabilitation counseling or another field that reasonably prepares individuals to work with individuals with disabilities and employers and two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities• Intermediate Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor
Master's degree in a field of study closely related to rehabilitation counseling and one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities (Closely related fields are defined by Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.)• Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

Travel will be required for client meetings, outreach/events, office coverage.
Travel will be required for State business. If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Responsibilities Job Summary This position sets up, operates, and administers all types of respiratory care equipment and procedures to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and illness to both general floor and critical care areas. Evaluates therapeutic objectives and outcomes and transcribes verbal orders from physicians in the medical record. Performs arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, co-oximetry, electrocardiograms, electrolytes, and other basic pulmonary function testing. Sets up, operates, and monitors mechanical ventilators as ordered. Makes appropriate changes as ordered. Assures the patency, stability, and location of the artificial airway. Assures adequate and appropriate humidification through the artificial airway. The therapist must be familiar with the operation of numerous different mechanical ventilators. They must also be proficient with many modes of mechanical ventilation and their applications. Assists with the transportation of mechanically ventilated patients to other patient care areas. Performs routine respiratory care treatments and oxygen administration in adult, pediatric, and neonatal areas. Such therapy includes, but, is not limited to aerosol therapy, nebulized medications, metered dose inhalers, flutter therapy, PEP therapy, incentive spirometry; nasotracheal and artificial airway suctioning; breathing exercises, CPAP/BiPAP therapy and support, sputum induction, and oxygen analysis. The therapist describes and instructs therapies or procedures to patients and/or families in a clear and professional manner. Join us at Grand Canyon Education's College of Nursing and Health Care Professions as a Field Clinical Counselor. This position will coordinate and support the students with policies, processes, placements, applying and entering the practicum and/or clinical phases of the degree program. This will be a remote position with a salary of $43,000 per year.
If local to Maricopa County, first 90-days only Wednesday's in office. New hire training will encompass two full weeks of training. One week will be held in-person at our Phoenix, AZ campus and the following week will be held virtually via Zoom.
What you will do:
+ Collects and tracks immunization and health and safety documentation required for clinical and practicum rotations.
+ Ensures students meet all required deadlines and notifies appropriate parties of non-compliance.
+ Communicates to students, preceptors, and sites before documentation expires or a file becomes out of date.
+ Prepares and distributes necessary information to students regarding the program(s).
+ Assists with placement of students to include practicum, clinical, or practice immersion.
+ Handles high volume of outbound and inbound student calls while meeting GCU customer service standards.
+ Establishes rapport and relationships with students.
+ Encourages students to ensure they are on track with meeting clinical and practicum requirements.
+ Assists with the processing of paperwork for sites and preceptors if needed.
+ Works as part of a high-performance team and encourages and supports other team members.
+ Handles multiple priorities and tasks in an effective and efficient manner.
What you will need:
+ Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
+ Six months’ related work experience such as a high-volume in-bound/out-bound call center and preferably in higher education.
+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, healthcare clients, students, and the general public.
+ Ability to handle a high-volume of inbound/outbound calls effectively.
+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
