Position Overview
While providing group therapy, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, and will provide counseling through development of discharge planning and other Case Management activities while supporting the therapeutic assessments and modes of therapy utilized by behavioral health professionals to assist client with substance abuse issues.Counselor I’s work closely with case managers, clinicians, other BHTs, and clinical administration in the clinical department to provide high quality services to the OP population at Axiom Care. Those in this role provide direct services including psychoeducational group counseling, psychoeducational individual counseling, other therapeutic interventions in their scope, conduct biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention and discharge planning as needed.
