    The W. A. Franke College of Business is one of eight academic colleges at Northern Arizona University and a leading AACSB-accredited provider of business education in Arizona.     About the Position

    The W. A. Franke College of Business invites applicants for one tenure-track position in Finance with a start date of August 2025 at the Flagstaff campus. Position rank is at the Assistant Professor level. We invite applicants with qualifications to teach finance courses at the undergraduate level. An active research agenda that can lead to scholarly publications in high quality journals is required. All research areas such as corporate finance, asset pricing, banking, investment, FinTech, and ESG/climate finance are welcome.

    Our faculty is comprised of scholar-teachers with a diverse set of backgrounds and interests. The successful applicant is expected to establish a highly productive and impactful research program at NAU and teach effectively at the undergraduate levels. Additionally, we seek a colleague that will add to the supportive and collegial atmosphere we've built at our university.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Teach undergraduate finance courses.

    About the Department/College

    The Department of Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Environmental Engineering (CECMEE), within the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering is comprised of twenty-one full-time faculty. We provide students with a well-rounded, personalized, education in civil engineering, environmental engineering, and construction management; with an emphasis on producing baccalaureate students who are fully prepared for professional practice upon graduation. The Department offers bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering, environmental engineering, project management, and construction management. Our Mission is “to create the next generation of ethical, work-ready, high-performance construction and civil and environmental engineering professionals.”

    The Construction Management (CM) Program serves 348 undergraduate students and is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. The Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering Programs (CENE) jointly serve 313 undergraduate and 22 graduate students and are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

    The CM Program receives substantial industry support, allowing us to tap into a broad range of expertise. The Generation Next Sponsorship program provides external funding for faculty development and travel; curriculum improvements; and student competitions and field trips. This industry support also allows us to offer the Construct for Practice (C4P) lab, which is a hands-on academic experience that differentiates our program from the competition.     About the Position

    We seek candidates with a passion for teaching undergraduate students who have recent and relevant domestic construction and/or engineering industry experiences. The primary duties will be in-person classroom teaching in the Construction Management Program, with options to teach in the Civil Engineering Program depending on qualifications and departmental needs.

    The Department of Biological Sciences at Northern Arizona University serves more than 2,500 undergraduate majors across six bachelor-degree programs. The department has more than 100 students enrolled in graduate programs, both at the MS and PhD levels. With a strong tradition of teacher-scholars, the Department of Biological Sciences has research strengths in many areas of Biology, including Physiology, Ecology, Evolution, and Ecosystems Science, and Microbiology.     About the Position

    Individuals are invited to apply for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Wildlife Biology/Organismal Biology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Northern Arizona University (NAU). We are seeking an individual with the expertise to teach courses in our Wildlife Management Certificate, oversee the vertebrate collection, and with related research interests in Wildlife Biology/Organismal Biology. This position starts on August 2025 and is a 9 month tenure-track faculty position.

    Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the BS, MS, and PhD programs in the Biological Sciences through teaching undergraduate and graduate-level classes in biology, for an example: wildlife management, conservation biology, animal behavior, ornithology, mammalogy, and/or herpetology. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to effective undergraduate teaching utilizing inclusive, data-driven pedagogies.

    Candidates should also exhibit an ability to establish an active and welcoming research program that centers around the mentoring of NAU undergraduate and graduate students that leads to peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding from state and federal agencies.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to engage in outreach to agencies and tribes to promote the university's mission and values, and serve on department, college, and university committees as fitting a tenure-track position.

Faculty are hired on a contract basis, renewable according to terms of the https://nau.edu/university-policy-library/conditions-of-faculty-service/. Employees offered a position will be eligible for state health plans (including NAU's BCBS Plan). Employees will have 31 days from date of hire to enroll in benefits, and their benefits will then be effective the first day of the pay period following their completed enrollment. If a new employee chooses the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) retirement option, participation in the ASRS Plan (and the long-term disability coverage that accompanies it) will begin on the first of the pay period following 183 days of employment. New employees who choose to participate in the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP; an alternative to the ASRS plan) will begin to participate on the first day of the pay period following election.     FLSA Status
