    The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at NAU is housed within the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS).     About the Position

    The NAU Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT) is at the forefront of Competency and Entrustment-Based Education (CEBE), a progressive approach designed to meet the diverse and evolving healthcare needs of society. This model integrates learning outcomes and assessments across didactic and clinical education, ensuring graduates are fully prepared for the complexities of contemporary physical therapy practice.

    The DPT Program seeks a highly motivated and innovative faculty member who embraces this CEBE paradigm shift and is adept at utilizing technology to enhance health professions education. With a specialized faculty team, we welcome applications from candidates with expertise across all primary areas of physical therapy practice.
    Responsibilities Include

    • Design, deliver, and assess engaging, evidence-based course content within a Competency and Entrustment-Based Education framework.
    • Participate in program assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement processes.

    For Assistant Professor:

    Under the direction of the Aquatics Specialist, perform assistance, training and supervision to Lifeguards/Swim Instructors as required. Maintain and develop a comprehensive swim lesson program at the pool. Perform public safety work in preventing injuries in the municipal pool facility.

    + Supervise and evaluate Lifeguard/Swim Instructing staff, manage pool deck area and its patrons
