Description
PALs are second-year (or beyond) A.T. Still University students who excel in their coursework, maintaining 85% or better in courses. PALs are expected to guide students toward successful learning of course content, demonstrating effective study methods and strategies. PALs are not expected to be content experts, but rather learning mentors. PALs may answer content questions as they are comfortable but are to refer learners to faculty and/or learning specialists when they feel additional support is warranted. PALs can expect to work approximately 5 hours per week. PALs set their own availability and schedule learning sessions directly with learners. On occasion, PALs may be asked to participate in webinars and/or workshops.
Requirements
**Qualifications** : 2nd-year student (or beyond) in good academic and professional/behavioral standing who has maintained 85% or better in all courses.
**Skills:** Prior tutoring/ mentoring experience is preferred, but not required.
**Special characteristics:** Good communicator, excellent time management, helpful attitude.
**Times Needed** : outside of class time (evenings & weekends).
**Days Needed:** Monday - Friday / Weekends - flexible hours.
**Physical Requirements** : Normal.

Elementary Homeschool
Beyond Education is currently seeking a skilled elementary generalist homeschool teacher. This individual should feel confident working with students in grades K - 3 and be able to support all basic subjects including: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Our homeschool teachers should have consistent availability Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. Please be prepared to utilize homeschool curricula or teaching programs to be able to meet the needs of our students, but they should also be able to confidently create and implement year-round content.
Essential Job Functions
+ Be reasonably available for Mentoring Sessions; both in-person and online
+ Be prepared for each Mentoring Session; with lesson plans and/or session materials
+ Use best efforts to provide the tutoring and/or educational services in a workmanlike and quality manner
+ Use best efforts to secure a suitable replacement if Contractor is unable to attend a scheduled Mentoring Session
+ Inform Beyond of the occurrence, location, date, and duration of each Mentoring Session between Contractor and Client
+ Refer immediately to Beyond any inquiry from Client or any Client referral regarding tutoring and/or educational services
+ Inform Beyond immediately of any Client complaint, Client dispute or disagreement
+ Attend monthly Beyond meeting as designated by Beyond Administrator(s)
+ Maintain Confidentiality of Beyond Education and its clients
+ Submit documentation as needed
+ Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned
Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree or pursuing one (preferred)

+ Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.
+ Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines and company standards.
+ Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:
+ Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
+ The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
+ The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
