**Field Mechanic Responsibilities:**
+ **On-Site Maintenance and Repairs:** Travel to customer job sites to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on heavy equipment.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an exceptional opportunity for a Field Technician 3 to support our Armament Systems site in Mesa, Arizona.
**Location** – Please note that this role is based in Mesa, AZ and requires on-site support. If selected candidate is located outside of local/commuting area, we are not able to offer relocation assistance with this position.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Typical duties will include but not be limited to the following
+ Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment primarily on warranty and non-warranty authorized repairs for customer owned material.
+ Analyzes and evaluates products.
+ Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
+ Installs, upgrades, and removes products per manufacturing orders and instructions.
+ Coordinates internally with engineering, quality, production control and supply to effectively process repairs.
+ Daily tasks will include both hands on work and computer work.
+ Data management & updating of appropriate systems is required to keep processes moving.
+ Requires Proficiency in MS office applications.
+ Maintains effective internal customer communications.
+ Able to manage multiple tasks and have strong organizational skills.
+ Attention to detail required to properly document part evaluations and repairs preformed.
+ Work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Domestic and international travel is required. Travel on average is 25%.
+ Ability to lift 40 pounds.
+ Work requires movement throughout the factory every day and moving parts to different workstations.
+ Work requires long period of standing.
+ Schedule is primarily day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour days. Overtime is often available.

**Salary Range:** $47,000 - $78,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
