Incorporated in 2011, North Wind Resource Consulting's core capabilities include environmental documentation and permitting; natural and cultural resource surveys; wildlife and botanical expertise; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) technical services; historic and prehistoric surveys; environmental consultation such as Section 106 for cultural resources, Section 404 for wetlands, and Section 7 for endangered species); and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping capabilities. North Wind Resource Consulting maintains offices across the country.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Archaeological Technician II is a position that will be providing in-field and clerical support for projects located within the greater Phoenix area, and across Arizona. The Archaeologist Technician II should have previous experience with Class III archaeological surveys, monitoring, or testing projects. Required experience will include artifact identification, in-field documentation, and site recording knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Assist Crew Chief or Field Director with survey documentation.
+ Follow North Wind established field protocols.
+ Assist with (a) collecting data using GPS units (i.e., Trimble, Garmin, and/or IOS Field Collector), (b) taking photographs of project area, project activities, and artifacts (c) artifact/feature identification.
+ Collect artifact/feature descriptions.
+ Maintain both North Wind and project-specific safety awareness and practices at all times.
+ Regular communication with North Wind Project Manager, Field Director, and Line Supervisor.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Drive daily to project areas in Arizona using North Wind vehicle
+ Participation in North Wind training
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology or related field
+ Experience in southwest archaeology and is familiar with agency's site recording standards for Arizona
+ Experience in and willingness to work in inclement conditions (i.e. very hot, windy, sunny without shade)

+ Possess a strong work ethic with a developed and mature understanding of professionalism
+ Ability to follow written and oral instruction

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires long periods of walking, climbing, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for periods of up to 10-12 hours per day.
Frequent carrying of a backpack with equipment of up to 20 lbs. on across uneven terrain.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work will be performed outdoors in harsh and rapidly changing environments to include all types of weather conditions to include extreme heat or cold environments, traverse uneven terrain. There may also be time spent in the office assisting with report preparation and background research, which requires static periods sitting and working on a computer.

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on **Night shift Field Technician I** to join our team and support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects. In this role, you will conduct on-site inspections, materials testing, and environmental sampling to ensure construction, infrastructure, and environmental projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
As a night shift Field Technician, you will be responsible for the in-the-field sampling and testing of concrete, soils, and other construction materials. Night time technicians will be required to complete and submit written reports following each shift. A company vehicle will be provided specifically for travel to and from scheduled job sites. Technicians will require sufficient ability to find project locations by address and/or direction.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Properly collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for further testing and analysis.
+ Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures.
+ Complete detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to project managers and stakeholders.
+ Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained, and functioning correctly, following company and manufacturer guidelines.

Your Role as a Field Technician:
You will learn to inspect construction work, performed by contractors/trades, to check it complies with the requirements of the project specifications and building codes. ProTeX Field Technicians conduct a variety of construction inspections and testing each day at several different construction sites throughout the valley. Examples of Inspections and Testing Include: Post-Tension Foundation Inspections; Anchor Inspections; Drainage Inspections; Soil Testing, Concrete Sampling; Materials Sampling.
Work Schedule:
The Field Technician is a full-time position working upwards of 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, and on a rotating Saturday schedule. We work when the contractors are working, which means some of our jobs start as early as 1:00 AM when concrete is being poured. The daily schedule, sent out the night before- between 5PM-6PM, provides the time of your first inspection the next day. You can expect to drive up to 200 miles a day, in a company-provided truck, as you move between job sites.
Work Requirements:
Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision. Lift up to 75 lbs., have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a desire to learn and grow with Arizona’s leading Geotechnical testing and inspection company.
